Summary

  • Anker has increased pricing on over 100 items on Amazon, with an average price hike of 18% due to U.S. tariffs on China.
  • Less than one-fifth of Anker’s items saw an increase, but prices are quickly rising for tech gadgets.
  • Anker plans to explore additional markets outside the U.S. following tariff pressure, but many products often go on sale or offer coupon codes.

We have some bad news if you’re a big fan of Anker’s phone cables, portable charger power banks, and countless other accessories. The Chinese electronics company makes some of our favorite mobile gadgets, but over the last week, it has slowly increased pricing on over 100 items, likely as a response to ever-changing tariffs.

Anker is one of Amazon’s largest sellers, but it’s already seeing the effects of United States tariffs on China. As a result, all those extra costs are slowly but surely being pushed on consumers. As of last week, the tariffs on China are at 145 percent.

First spotted by Reuters, Anker has increased pricing on over 120+ products over the last 3–4 days, with an average price hike of 18%. That’s not a small amount, and it’ll make a big difference to a wide array of products. Reuters pulled pricing and information from the product research company SmartScout, which found that roughly one-fifth of Anker’s items are now more expensive on Amazon.

So, how much of a price difference can you expect on that fancy new phone charger or doorbell camera you wanted to buy? After taking a quick glance at some items we’ve recently reviewed, we’re seeing higher prices across the board. For example, the excellent Anker 25K portable charger was $99 and is now listed for $110. Or, my favorite wall charger, which retails for $89 (I bought it for $76), is now $100 on Amazon.

Thankfully, less than one-fifth of Anker’s items went up in price, at least for now. I recently reviewed the Anker EverFrost 2 battery-powered cooler, which I absolutely loved, and its price remains the same. However, Anker also makes items under the sub-brands Eufy, Nebula, and others, which may experience a similar situation and increase prices.

Keep in mind that Anker hasn’t been the only company making changes or trying to react to an uncertain situation over the last several weeks. Tablet brand reMarkable changed its pricing due to tariffs; the exciting new OnePlus Watch 3 went up in price, the Framework Laptop 12 costs more for U.S. buyers, and tariffs killed Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders, at least initially. And this is only the beginning.

The Reuters report went on to mention that Anker told investors it was able to raise prices because many of its rivals are also Chinese and face similar tariff pressure. The company even plans to explore additional markets outside the United States.

For what it’s worth, many of Anker’s excellent products go on sale all the time, and even when they’re not discounted, you can often find and attach a coupon code right in the Amazon listing. For example, the neat little Anker Zolo 20K power bank is still $35, but there’s a 20% off coupon available.

Anker prices fluctuate quite a bit on Amazon, as the brand offers deals constantly. Furthermore, the fluctuations are likely so buyers see the popular red “discount” or “limited-time discount” button on the storefront, suggesting it’s a deal worth buying.

For now, we’ll all just need to be a little vigilant, wait for big spring sales or holiday discounts, and continue tracking pricing with popular tools like Camelcamelcamel and Keepa, which track Amazon product price history.
