Microsoft always worked on Windows 11 to redefine multitasking features. Now, it has introduced a new feature called ‘Resume’ that’s available on the very latest builds of Windows 11.
What is the Resume feature on Windows 11?
The new Resume feature of Windows 11 is a copycat of Apple’s Handoff. Apple devices have a feature called Handoff that lets you start work on one device, such as an iPhone, then switch to a Mac or another device and pick up where you left off.
The new Resume feature of Windows 11 does the same thing. The feature is supposed to let you start a document on your phone or tablet and seamlessly pick it up on your PC, or vice versa.
However, the only important thing to note is that Microsoft’s Rescume feature currently only works with OneDrive.
How to Enable the Resume Feature in Windows 11?
The resume feature is slowly rolling out to all Windows 11 users. To use it, you must first update your Windows 11 to the latest version.
Once updated, follow these simple steps to enable the Rescume feature on Windows 11.
- Launch the Settings app on your Windows 11.
- When the Settings app opens, switch to the Apps at the left sidebar.
- On the right side, scroll down to the bottom and click Resume.
- On the Resume screen, turn on the toggle for the feature.
- You can also select which apps you want to use the Resumefeature.
Right now, the feature only supports OneDrive. Also, remember that this feature is still being developed, so it may not be available on your PC right now.
