If you’re looking for a new gaming laptop that won’t break the bank, this ASUS TUF Gaming A16 PC might be for you. It’s on sale for $700 right now, a $400 savings from the original MSRP.

ASUS sells many gaming laptops under its TUF Gaming brand, but this one has an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor (8 cores, 16 threads), 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 512GB SSD for storage, and AMD Radeon RX7700S graphics. The 16-inch 1080p screen gives you enough space for both productivity and gaming, with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz.

For connectivity, you get two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connectors, an HDMI 2.0b port, RJ45 LAN Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 6. There’s also a spacious touchpad and a keyboard with RGB backlighting.

This is a great laptop for modern PC gaming and productivity work that benefits from a powerful GPU, like 3D rendering or video editing. You won’t be able to max out the graphics settings in most AAA games, but there’s still plenty of power to work with. The laptop is bulkier than most ultrabooks, at 4.8 pounds and 0.87 inches in depth, but that’s typical of gaming laptops. All that extra cooling required for extended performance takes up space.

The only real ‘catch’ here might be the 512GB SSD, which might be too small for all your Windows files with a few big games.
