Samsung’s Galaxy Watch lineup is about as good as it gets for a Wear OS-powered smartwatch, especially if you have a Samsung phone to pair it with. Samsung’s close collaboration with Google on Wear OS gives the company’s smartwatches an edge over competitors, and now the Galaxy Watch 7 is taking that a step further.

Samsung has announced the latest addition to its smartwatch lineup, the Galaxy Watch 7. It was just announced right alongside the Galaxy Watch Ultra, but that doesn’t seem to be a “premium” version of this smartwatch at all, and Samsung doesn’t seem to be doing Pro or Classic variants of this smartwatch. If you don’t need all of the fancy stuff that Samsung packed into the Ultra, this is probably the one you’ll want to get.

The Galaxy Watch 7 has a bunch of advanced fitness tracking capabilities and features, allowing owners to monitor over 100 workouts and create personalized routines. The new Race feature enables real-time performance comparisons, while Body Composition provides a detailed snapshot of the user’s physical condition. Sleep tracking is also a major focus of the Galaxy Watch 7, with an enhanced AI algorithm and the FDA-authorized Sleep Apnea feature to help identify potential signs of sleep disorders. The smartwatch also offers comprehensive heart health monitoring with features like Heart Rate monitoring, IHRN, and ECG.

As for the hardware, there’s an enhanced BioActive Sensor and the first-ever 3nm processor in a Galaxy Watch. The Galaxy Watch 7 also introduces a Dual-frequency GPS system for precise location tracking, even in urban environments. In addition to its health and fitness capabilities, the Galaxy Watch7 features a circular design with customizable watch bands and faces, like you’re used to seeing from Samsung. It’s as familiar as it gets, which is refreshing seeing how different the Watch Ultra looks.

You can buy the Galaxy Watch 7 in two sizes and a variety of colors, and it starts at $299.99—much cheaper than the Watch Ultra. It’s now available for pre-order, and you should get it by July 24th if you order it soon.
