Samsung Galaxy S8 Preorders Open: Compare Pricing & Links for US Carriers & Retailers

The new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are two of most head-turning phones we’ve ever seen, thanks to gorgeous build quality and a seemingly bezel-less Infinity Display. Combine that with flagship-grade internals for top notch performance, and you can almost guarantee that Samsung has a hit on its hands—which means it’s probably not going to be easy to get your hands on one of these beauties.

The easiest way to ensure you’ll be among the first people to own an S8 is to preorder from your carrier or a big, nationwide electronics chain with tons of stock. Pricing will vary depending on the retailer, and there are some great deals out there, so we’ve put them all in one place to make it easy to find the right one for you.

Best Buy

Best Buy probably has the single best deal on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. If you preorder, you’ll receive a free Gear VR headset and controller, and you’ll even get $100 off the retail price, which should put the price in the neighborhood of $650 for the S8 and $750 for the S8+. This deal will go live on Thursday, March 30, at midnight, and you’ll be able to choose from variants that work on all major US carriers.

AT&T

AT&T will let you buy either device outright, but they also offer financing options. Outright, the S8 will cost $750, while the S8+ will run you $850. If you opt for the 30-month financing option (with qualifying service plan), you can get the Galaxy S8 for $25 per month, or the Galaxy S8+ for $28.34 per month. The following links should go live when the devices are available for preorder on March 30.

Sprint

Sprint lets you preorder on March 30, just like everyone else, and the S8 will cost $31.25 per month, and the S8+ will be $35.42 per month, for 18 months. If you pay the first 12 installments on this plan, you’ll be able to upgrade the next big Galaxy phone, whatever that will be.

If you preorder from Sprint, you’ll get either a free Gear VR with Controller and Oculus Bonus Content, or pay $99 for a Gear VR with premium headphones and 256 GB memory card.

T-Mobile

If you buy from T-Mobile, you’ll get a free Gear VR headset that works with your shiny new phone. The Galaxy S8 will cost you $750 outright, while the S8+ will run you $850. However, 24-month financing options are available. For either device, you’ll pay $30/month when financed, but you’ll first have to give them a down payment of $30 for the regular S8 or $130 for the S8+.

T-Mobile’s preorder page isn’t available yet, but you’ll see a large banner for it at the top of the following page when the device is ready for preorder at midnight EDT on March 30.

Verizon Wireless

Verizon has the best full retail pricing out of all the major carriers, though they haven’t announced when their deals will go live. The Galaxy S8 will cost $720 if you pay up front, and the S8+ will run you $840. There are also 24-month financing options available, so with a qualifying service contract, you can get the regular S8 for $30 per month, or the S8+ for $35 a month.

US Cellular

Perhaps the best offer of them all comes courtesy of US Cellular, though they’ve since taken down their preorder page. When it was live for a few hours, the page stated that US Cellular will give you a Galaxy S8 or S8+ for free if you simply trade in an eligible device (either a Galaxy S6 or newer Samsung flagship, or an iPhone 5s or later). If you don’t have a device to trade, they were offering a $100 gift card with any S8 purchase.

Preorders were set to go live on March 30 for US Cellular, and though they’ve since removed the page, we expect this much to hold true. If you want to check back to see if the deal reappears, just head to the following link.

We’ll stay on the lookout for more deals and update this page if we find any great ones. In the meantime, let us know what you think about the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in the comment section below.
