Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Update: T-Mobile delivers December Security Patch! 📱

T-Mobile has just pushed out a new update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, bringing the build number to N950USQU2BQLA. Here’s what to expect.

In addition to the December security update, which patches 10 issues found with Samsung’s software, as well as 11 critical problems for Android itself, T-Mobile includes updates for video calls and conferences, as well as DIGITS, the T-Mobile service that allows you to use one phone number on multiple devices.

If you’re someone who would benefit from a DIGITS update, as well as any of the other updates, make sure to download the update as soon as possible.

If you have your Galaxy Note 8 set to automatically download updates, you should receive a notification when the update has been downloaded to your device. When you do, just hit “Install” on the notification. If you don’t see that notification, head over to “System updates” in your Settings, then tap on “Download updates manually” to check.

T-Mobile has been good to Samsung phones this week — just a few days ago, the phone company released updates for the Galaxy S8, S8+, and Galaxy Note 5 that included the December security patch as well.

Of course, while routine updates are always welcome, Samsung users are far more interested in a bigger-picture update — Android 8.0 Oreo. Galaxy fans will just need to download the beta to hold themselves over until the newest version of Android official comes to Samsung phones.
