News: T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 Getting KitKat Update Now!

Starting today, T-Mobile has begun rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to their Galaxy S4s.

The roughly 390MB update brings the standard KitKat fare to your GS4, including:

  • New music album art lockscreen
  • New launcher settings menu
  • Camera shortcut on the lockscreen
  • Various system tweaks and fixes

Be aware, the update may kill SD card storage, is it has for various other devices. If you have data on your memory card, it may be a good idea to back it up to your computer before accepting the update.

If you haven’t yet received the update notification, you can force a manual check by going into Settings -> About device -> Software update.
