How to View Phone’s Charging Speed (3 Methods)

Despite having 100W, 120W, and 150W fast charging support, your phone doesn’t always chat at a uniform pace.

Your phone automatically lowers the charging speed to manage the internal temperature and preserve the battery health.
This is the reason the full charging time varies on a frequent basis.

So, if you’re curious to check the speed at which your phone is charging, here’s what you need to do.

1. View Your Phone’s Charging Speed Using the Charge Meter App

The Charge Meter app available on the Google Play Store can be used to measure your phone’s charging speed. Here’s what you need to do.

1. Open the Google Play Store. Then, download & install the Charge Meter App on your Android phone.

2. Launch the Charge Meter app and connect your phone to its charger.

3. Then, multiple the current displayed in mA at the top with the voltage to get the charging speed in milliwatts (mW).

4. Once you get the milliwatts value, divide the mW figure by 1,000 to get the watt (W) numbers.

Although the Charge Meter app requires manual work, the results are pretty accurate. If you want a more straightforward solution, check the next method.

2. View Your Phone’s Charging Speed using AmpereFlow

AmpereFlow is another battery management app that displays charging speed information. Here’s how to use it.

You can purchase a USB Type-C power tester and connect it to the charging port of your phone. Don’t worry, such devices has an additional USB Type-C port at the back side for the charging cable.

Once connected, you will be able to see the real time phone charging speed in watts.

These are the best ways to view the phone’s charging speed in real time. Let us know if you need more help on this topic in the comments. Also, if you find this guide helpful, don’t forget to share it with your friends.
