Then, every new version of iOS has new customization options. The newly introduced iOS 18 Public beta allows you to change the iPhone app colors natively.
Also, iOS 18 gives you three color options for the app icons: Dark Mode, Tinting, and Automatic switching between Light & Dark Mode.

4. On the menu that appears, select Customize.
5. A menu will pop up from the bottom, allowing you to select between a Small and large app icon. If you pick the large icon, the app icon names will be hidden.
6. The app icons will also have different color modes: Automatic, Dark, Light, and Tinted.
7. To use the Dark mode app icons, select Dark.
8. If you want the app icon to switch automatically based on the time of the day, choose the automatic option. Please note that if you select Automatic during the day, you won’t see the app icons switching to dark until nighttime.
9. The tinted option will allow you to create a monochromatic dark mode app icon setup. This is perfect if you want the app icon to adapt to your wallpaper’s accent color.
As of now, there is no option to change the color or apply dark mode to an individual app icon. The dark mode and tinting option apply to both first- and third-party apps.
