When you restart the Google Chrome web browser, your Google Account is still used and the information saved on it is being used.

Similarly, some users don’t want to use any account specific feature in Chrome and would prefer to remain signed out.

If you continue to think this way, you should take steps to prevent Chrome from automatically signing you into a Google Account. Here’s what you need to do.

Disable the Allow Chrome Sign-in

You should turn off the link between Google Account and Chrome to prevent the Chrome browser from automatically signing you into a Google Account. Here’s what you need to do.

  • Launch the Google Chrome browser on your PC/Laptop.
  • Click the three dots at the top-right corner and select Settings.
  • On the Chrome Settings, switch to You and Google.
  • On the right side, click Sync and Google Services.
  • Scroll to the Other Google Services and turn off the Allow Chrome sign in toggle.

How to Prevent Chrome from Signing In Automatically to Web Services

Google Password Manager of Chrome remembers how you signed in and automatically signs you in when possible. You can turn off this feature to be asked for confirmation every time.

  • Launch the Google Chrome web browser.
  • Next, type this URLchrome://password-manager/passwords on the address bar and press Enter.
  • Switch to Settings on the Google Password Manager screen.
  • On the Google Password Manager Settings, turn off the Sign in automatically toggle.
  • From now on, Google Chrome will ask you before signing in to web services and sites.
