Swiping between pages on your iPhone’s home screen feels very natural, but surprisingly, Apple has another way to switch between screens, and it’s been staring us in the face this whole time.
See the tiny dots on the bottom of your iPhone’s home screen and app folders? Besides showing you what page you’re currently on, you can also tap on those to switch pages without having to swipe. It’s a handy alternative to have if swiping isn’t ideal due to discomfort from joint pain, or if you simply feel the method is just more intuitive for you.
It’s worth noting that while you can hit the dot that corresponds with Today View to enter the page, you’ll still need to swipe to get out of it, as the bottom dots aren’t available while inside it. Unfortunately, you also can’t skip pages, such as going from the first to the third page, and so on. So keep those in mind when using the feature.
Just updated your iPhone? You’ll find new emoji, enhanced security, podcast transcripts, Apple Cash virtual numbers, and other useful features. There are even new additions hidden within Safari. Find out what’s new and changed on your iPhone with the iOS 17.4 update.
