Windows 10 and 11 have a feature called Activity History that keeps track of the things you do on your device.

With the help of this feature, you get to see the things you did in the past, like which apps, documents, and websites you opened and at what time and day.

How to Disable the Activity History on Windows 11?

Disabling Activity History on Windows 11 is pretty simple as it can be done from the Settings app. Here’s what you need to do.

1. Click on the Windows Start button and select Settings.

2. When the Settings app opens, switch to the Privacy & Security tab.

3. On the right side, scroll to the Windows Permissions and click Activity History.

4. On the next screen, turn off the toggle beside Store My Activity History on this device.

This will disable the Activity history. From now on, the feature won’t store any activity history on your device.

How to Clear Activity History on Windows 11?

After disabling the Activity History, you will want to get rid of the old activities. To do so, you need to clear the saved Activity History as well. Here’s what you need to do.

  • Open the Settings app on your Windows 11.
  • When the Settings app opens, switch to Privacy & Security.
  • On the right side, click on Activity History.
  • On the next screen, click the Clear History option.
  • On the Clear activity history prompt, click Clear.
  • This will clear all the activity history previously stored on your Windows PC.
