Apple’s latest treat: iOS 14.2 Beta 4 drops with 8 fresh wallpapers! 📱 #TechUpdates

Apple just released the fourth developer beta for iOS 14.2 today, Tuesday, Oct. 20. The new update introduces eight new dynamic wallpapers, including four real-life landscapes, and four digital landscapes.

Apple released this update just past 1 p.m. PDT, an unusual release time for a developer beta. While Apple typically releases developer betas at 10 a.m. PDT, that time-slot was already taken by the general release of iOS 14.1, which added support for 10-bit video playback and editing on iPhone 8 and later.

The update comes one week after the company seeded developers iOS 14.2 beta 3, which introduced new glyphs for HomePod mini and Beats Flex, support for HomePod’s upcoming “Intercom” feature, new Core Media features, and SwiftUI fixes.

It’s important to note this is a developer update, not a public update. If you’re a public beta tester, you won’t see this update on your iPhone. Instead, you’ll need to wait for Apple to release iOS 14.2 public beta 4, which we expect to see at 10 a.m. PDT tomorrow.
