Yesterday, Dec. 17, Apple released the first developer beta for iOS 13.3.1. The update marked the first new beta in almost a month since iOS 13.3’s fourth beta dropped on Nov. 20. Now, one day later, Apple has pushed out iOS 13.3.1 public beta 1 to everyone who wants to try out new features first.

Apple seeded this first public beta to testers at 1 p.m. EST (10 a.m. PST) on Wednesday, Dec. 18. While Apple sometimes releases public betas three hours after the developer beta, we anticipated a next-day release would be possible.

Unfortunately, it appears there isn’t much to see with this update. Just one look at 13.3.1’s release notes says it all: “There are no release notes for this software update.” If we discover any changes or features, we will add them to this article.

To download and install iOS 13.3.1 public beta 1, sign up through Apple’s beta site, download and install the configuration profile, then update over the air. If you already have the profile, go to Settings –> General –> Software Update to begin the installation of the latest beta build, or you can wait until it installs automatically if “Automatic Updates” is enabled.
