The two primary design paradigms in Samsung’s One UI Android skin are vertical padding and rounded UI elements. The extra empty space at the top of most menus moves touchable elements closer to your thumb, and the rounded UI elements match the curved corners of modern smartphone screens. While you can’t add the vertical padding on other Android phones, you can now get the rounded corners.
As with most things that modify Android’s system UI, you’ll need to be rooted to make this drastic change. You’ll also need to have Magisk Manager installed, but you can get squared away on both fronts using the guides linked in the Requirements section below.
- Don’t Miss: Everything You Need to Know About One UI 3.0
Requirements
- rooted Android device
- Magisk installed
Step 1: Install G-Visual Mod
First, open your Magisk Manager app and select the puzzle piece icon on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. Here, hit the search icon and type in “g-visual,” then tap the download arrow next to the first result and hit “Install” on the prompt.

Step 2: Select Your Settings
This next part is a little unusual. When you start flashing the module in Magisk Manager, you’ll see it stop and prompt you. You’ll have to select the number of the option you want to use, which is done with the volume buttons.
The prompt starts at “1” and you can press the volume up button to move it to “2” and “3” and so on. Once the number shown in the prompt matches the number of the menu item that you want to choose, press the volume down button to select it.
So for these purposes, select “1. UI Radius” from the Main Menu prompt. Then select “3. Large” from the G-UI Radius Mod prompt. After that, press the volume up button to confirm your choice, then select “5. Continue” from the Main Menu prompt. When it’s done flashing, hit the blue “Reboot” button in the bottom-right corner.
Step 3: Enjoy Rounded Corners
When your phone finishes rebooting, several SystemUI elements will now have that One UI aesthetic. The bottom of the Quick Settings panel in both the condensed and expanded views, the notifications in your notification tray, and even the cards in your recent apps menu will have rounded corners. Enjoy!
