There used to be a time when I thought that gift cards were whack. And then I realized that I would basically be picking my own presents. And as much as I love my grandma, you really only need so many sweaters.
If you are lucky enough to get a Play Store gift card from your “tech savvy” pops or moms, then I have the perfect list of awesome paid and free games you need to download.
Injustice: Gods Among Us
One of the few console based games that is actually really freaking good. I’ve probably spent a good three weeks playing this game and collecting some of my favorite super hero’s cards.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is a free app, but does have plenty of in-app purchases. So, instead of feeling guilty about spending your own money on awesome perks and coin packages you can you use your gift card to finally get that Elite Level 3 Superman.
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Cops and robbers is a classic and timeless game that kids have played for years. In 2013, those cops and robbers are equipped with some of the world’s fastest cars latest tech.
Need for Speed Most Wanted was 4.99 but it is now only .99 cents for the holiday season.
Plants vs. Zombies 2
Still my favorite mobile game ever. Who would’ve thought pea shooters and zombies would work to become one of the highest grossing games ever.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 is the free sequel that brings back these plants and zombies and takes you time traveling as well. Some of my favorites plants are buy-only, like the Torchwood, so you can opt to use your gift card and load up on zombie killing plants.
Bloons TD 5
Tower defense games are notoriously addicting and Bloons has pretty much perfected the tower defense game genre. You can equip your towers with all kinds of modded monkeys and towers and Bloons Tower Defense 5 comes has a ridiculous amount of levels to play.
You can get Bloons TD 5 for 2.99. Definitely worth the purchase.
The Amazing Spider-Man
RIP Tobey Maguire, your Spiderman had a decent run, but Spiderman 3… was terrible. The Amazing Spiderman revamped the series and welcomes new games as well. The Amazing Spider Man Android game has great gameplay, but the graphics could be a little better.
But as the best deal on this list, The Amazing Spider-Man was 6.99 but you can grab it during the holiday season for .99 cents.
