How to Turn Off 5G on Android & iPhone?

You can quickly turn off 5G on your Android phone by changing the SIM card settings. Here’s how.

1. Launch the Settings app on your Android phone.

2. When the Settings app opens, tap Mobile Network or Sim Cards & Mobile Networks.

3. Pick the SIM card you use to connect to the 5G network.

4. Next, tap the Preferred network type option.

This will immediately turn off 5G on your Android phone. From now on, your phone will connect to only the 4G network and will ignore 5G altogether.

How to Turn Off 5G on your iPhone?

The steps to turn off 5G on an iPhone are entirely different. If you want to turn off 5G on your iPhone, follow these steps instead.

1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone and tap on Mobile Service.

4. On the Voice & Data screen, select 4G or LTE.

Selecting the 4G or LTE will immediately turn off 5G on your iPhone.
